Our vision of the project is to take the learning beyond the classroom to bring about lasting change to our whole local communities' ways of thinking about people with different cultures, religious beliefs or ethnicity.

We hope that -

  • Be able to communicate effectively using a variety of ICT skills - email, internet, website and video conferencing
  • Improve their basic skills across the primary curriculum with an emphasis on language and communication
  • Have improved self esteem and be capable independent learners

Staff will:

  • Have a teaching resource to contextualise their lesson planning
  • Develop their ICT and language skills
  • Create a virtual network to communicate, share ideas and solve problems
  • See other educational systems in action and learn different pedagogical and methodological ideas

Others will:

Community members make use of Manton School's ICT.
